The Fund Fire & Police Retiree Health and Wellness Fund promotes Health by Design Physical Therapy. Certified therapists at The Health by Design Wellness Centers can help heal your body from head to toe. Physical therapy is often an excellent option to avoid costly surgery.
The Wellness Centers are also heating things up with cooking classes, exercise programs and more for Fund members and their families. Check out what this summer has in store for you!
The Fire and Police Retiree Health and Wellness Fund proudly announces our new wellness center by Health by Design! On Tuesday, February 28th, the Schertz Wellness Center officially opened. We were incredibly proud to unveil the Treviño Multi-Purpose Room, named after Henry Treviño, a retired San Antonio firefighter.
Over the few past decades, it has become clear that physical health and mental health are intrinsically linked. Adults with untreated mental health concerns, including depression and anxiety, are at greater risk for developing severe conditions, including heart disease, hypertension and diabetes.
The Fair Oaks Wellness Center held its first wine glass painting class in March. Retirees created unique artwork while enjoying snacks and sharing laughs and stories.
